WNNC has brought high school football radio to the Catawba Valley for over 30 years. "Football Friday Night" is consistently recognized as the premiere broadcast of high school football in the state. With a play-by-play, color, stats and sideline reporter at each feature game and another 5 "Hotline" reporters on site, WNNC covers all Catawba County football games live each week. Another 4 man team works at the studio to stream the feature game on-line, and host the post-game show with a scoreboard covering Western N.C. Each broadcast highlights the cheerleaders and bands, has a "meet the coaches" segment, recognizes a "fan of the week" and even introduces the "chain gang." Saturday morning's "Rewind" show recaps all of the Catawba County high school football action for coverage that is unparalleled. Carolina Panthers

As a partner of the Carolina Panthers Radio Network, WNNC brings the Hickory Metro extensive game day programming, including pre-game and post-game shows. "Panthers Talk" with head coach Ron Rivera airs Monday evenings at 8:00 PM.
